Haystack’s third and final exhibition of the summer season, Tom Loeser: Sun and Sizzle is on view through Saturday, September 2nd. A special reception with the artist will take place on Thursday, August 31. Tom Loeser will talk about his work at 4:15pm.
Tom Loeser designs and builds one-of-a-kind functional and dysfunctional objects that are often carved and painted and always based on the history of design and object making. This exhibition features recent works on paper that explore his diverse practice as a furniture maker — cyanotypes as well as burned images, both of which translate three dimensional objects into two dimensional imagery through the use of sunlight and extreme heat.
