The Deer Isle-Stonington Chamber of Commerce sponsors an evening of music, food and special offers from establishments in Greater Stonington on the first Friday of the month. June – September.
Hard on the heels of the July 4 celebration will be a celebration of all that we love about Greater Stonington on Friday, July 5 from 4:30-7:00pm. Two new restaurants will be open and 44 North will hold its popular Bubbles and Brine (oysters and beer) fest. Fin and Fern will hand out free samples in front of Boyce’s and Aadia House Provisions will offer a $9 pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. Frank and Cindy will perform on the deck at Inn on the Harbor, with UPS driver Jimmy Cook doing a stand-up comedy routine in between sets. Local artists will hold receptions as well, including Shari Ciomei at the Island Agency, Leslie Landrigan at the Stonington Public Library, Avery and Pat Falkner at Falkner studios.
The Chamber hopes to build on the success of the June First Friday, which brought a crowd that enjoyed food, music, shopping and of course Stonington’s lively waterfront.
