It has been said that big things come in small packages, and small packages abound in the latest show at the DIAA Gallery that runs from August 27-September 8. “Small Works” provides visitors with the opportunity to discover little treasures, whether these be gifts for themselves or for others. From baskets to woodcuts, all mediums are represented by artists from around the peninsula who bring the beauty of Maine to their work.
Appearing in this show are Cynthia Bourque Simonds, Emily Brett Lukens, Janet Cook, Michael DeMatteo, Mary Eaton, Pat Falkner, Judith Felch, Jill Finsen, Susan Finsen, Alan Flowers, Sara Foster, Leslie Goode, Cathy Hart, Emily Johansen, Mary S. King, Meagan LeBoutillier, Debbie Little Wyman,, Frederica Marshall, Alice McKenna, Rachel Melton, Penelope Plumb, Carolyn Readle, Sherry Streeter, Marcia Stremlau, Gudrun Tarr, Maura Tillotson, Anne C. Williams, Cynthia Stroud-Watson, Don Bardole, and Tracy Van Buskirk. In the art rack is work by Ron Deprez, Judith Felch, Susan Finsen, Penelope Plumb, Cynthia Stroud-Watson, and Paul Trowbridge.
