The Deer Isle Artists Association celebrates the creation of art with their second show of the season, “Hand and Eye,” which runs from June 13 – 26. The public is invited to a reception with the artists on June 16, from 3 – 5 PM.

This celebratory concert not only showcases the talent of the young winners, but also is the primary source of funding for these scholarships, which provide direct support for the music education of island students.

Welcome Center Volunteers will be selling tickets for the raffle a the Deer Isle Artisans Market (on Church Street next to the Deer Isle Town Office) on August 22. All proceeds will go to the repair, maintenance and operations at the Welcome Center.
In various areas around the Facility are our Victory Gardens. The tours will explain the plants needed for a family to survive during certain difficult periods of time in our History.
