Experimental Drawing with MaJo Keleshian Mon Sept 23 – Tues. September 24
Drawing is a means of creative, personal expression. It’s more than an attempt to replicate a form–it is an invention. In this workshop, using various drawing media and methods, we will explore ways to develop a dynamic mark making “vocabulary” through group and individual projects in order to create lively, expressive drawings. The workshop will be held on the grounds of the Turtle Gallery and all levels are welcome. 2 days 9am – 4pm . Limited to 5 participants. Fee: $350.
MaJo Keleshian’s work can be seen at Turtle Gallery on Deer Isle and George Marshall Store Gallery in York, ME. She has shown throughout Maine since the 1980s in many one-person and group exhibitions, and has work in public and private collections in the U.S. and abroad. She taught drawing at the University of Maine from 2000-2014 and did graphic design work there for many years. She’s taught at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Deer Isle, ME and currently leads drawing workshops.
