Those who believe that “Portraits” pertain to a select style of media will be astonished at the breadth of work displayed at the Deer Isle Artists Association Gallery from June 27 – July 9. Artists from around the Peninsula have created unique and vivid interpretations of this theme, resulting in a show that is sure to appeal to a very wide audience. Appearing in this exhibition are John Attanasio, Cynthia Bourque Simonds, Christopher Brumfeld, Judith Felch, Ronald Harte, Jadyn LaDeau,  Alice McKenna, Ellen Moore, Thomas Moore, Debra Nygaard, Jeanne Rotunda, Nicoletta Siccione, David Simonds, Cynthia Stroud-Watson, Oscar Turner, Jackie Wilson, and Fabiola Zambon. The public is invited to a reception with the artists on Friday, June 30, 3 – 5 PM.

The next show will be “Keynote,” which runs from July 11 – 23.
