Summer Business Success, DOT on Traffic Issues

The Stonington Economic Development Committee and the Deer Isle-Stonington Chamber of Commerce are coordinating an early evening potluck supper to exchange thoughts as to how Island businesses fared over the summer months.  We will address traffic safety, which is an issue for both towns but especially for Deer Isle Village, and we would like your perspective as to how we might improve the relationship between Islanders and our tourists.  We look forward to your input – your ideas and your suggestions.

We will have a representative from the DOT there with recommendations as to the speeding issues on the Island.  Now would be the time to express your concerns and learn how we can band together to address this issue before there is an incident.

We look forward to your thoughts with relation to your summer business successes and, as always, how they might be improved.
