MARCH ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE LESLIE LANDRIGAN has been painting for about 20 years and is influenced by the rugged landscape of the Maine coast. Focusing on the landscapes around her allows her to paint much more prolifically than she did before moving to the island. The sights and colors of the Peninsula are apparent in her work.
During her time as artist-in-residence, Leslie is painting watercolors of Deer Isle to illustrate a book in process about the island. The public is invited to visit the Gallery to chat and observe Leslie’s process. She is at the Gallery on weekdays (except Tuesdays) during afternoon hours until approximately 5 PM. To double check her schedule, call 207-598-9656.
WRITING WORKSHOP. As in previous months, the DIAA will offer the opportunity for the community to participate in a free workshop. Leslie is offering “How Not To Be a Bad Writer” on Sunday, March 26 at 1:30 PM.
